Paparazzi hound Mango Jam

The music world was last night reeling at the news that Mango Jam's hottest property, Murray Spelay, and top shelf guitarist Bob "Lankford" Lankford, have admitted to a drinking problem.
The revelations were made public after paparazzi photographs of the pair (see picture, right) taken at the Marriott Courtyard resort, were published in the February edition of Turkey Fancier's Monthly.

Bassist and tee-totaller John Shillito admits he is surprised at the revelations. "I did wonder where Murray went off to every Saturday during our breaks at the Westin," he commented. "At least that is one mystery cleared up. Now I just need to find out how to play the bass"

Lankford, in an open letter to be published in the March edition of the fowlers' magazine, claims that the picture is misleading. "We were not actually drinking," he claims. "If you look closely you can see Murray swatting a mosquito on his forehead. There was a large number of Aedes aegypti in the area, and it is well-known that Heineken attracts this particular species. I am actually examining the contents of my glass to see how many I had caught."

Spelay, however, has admitted to drinking the whole glass - mosquitoes and all.

On a musical note, look out for the new 4-piece Mango Jam, with a real, live drummer, at dance functions from March onwards.....
